You know those chills you get when you see the bride coming down the aisle? Well imagine that times about 50, and that’s what the Highland Park Village bridal event was like last night at Carolina Herrera.
The shop was transformed into a runway for the event where Bistro 31 provided hors d’oeuvres galore and champagne flowed. Personnel from Carolina Herrera, Harry Winston, Todd Events, Frederic Fekkai, Bistro 31 and Williams Sonoma chatted up the guests and showered them with helpful info for the special day regarding rehearsal dinners, gift registry, hair, makeup and jewels. I was enjoying talking to all the vendors about my wedding (which is just a Pinterest dream of mine as of right now) when we were excitedly told to take our seats for the fashion show.
The models strutted out on their Jimmy Choo’s decked out in Harry Winston jewels to an ethereal array of classical music, which helped beautifully set the mood. It was like each model was actually walking down the aisle (so basically, we got to see the best part of the wedding over and over). My friends and I took notes on which dresses we were most obsessed with and compared afterwards. We finally just decided that we had to have them all, and our weddings would just have to consist of 30 outfit changes.
All in all, we had a blast (as well as a serious case of shoe envy) and the brides-to-be present gained some serious wedding planning insight. Carolina Herrera sure knows how to throw a party!
