Lauren and David both attended Tulane University, so when it came time to plan their fall wedding they knew they wanted to infuse a Louisiana vibe to the reception at the The Joule Hotel. They included table cards with famous New Orleans street names, a beignet cart in lieu of a groom’s cake, late-night shrimp po’boys and truffle fries, and an exit complete with a traditional second line. Jackson Durham designed the decor and used lavender roses (Lauren’s favorite) and accented with dove gray decor.
Lauren reflects on the wedding day on November 8, 2014, with many memories including getting ready at the hotel with her bridal party, going up the glass elevator with her parents for the ceremony, surprising her dad with the first song dance he and her mom danced to at their wedding, and dancing to Beyonce tunes at the reception.
