Amy and Blake, both Baylor grads and Dallas residents, chose to get married in the Hill Country. They settled on Sacred Oaks at Camp Lucy as the ceremony and reception site. The bride worked with Petal Pushers out of Dripping Springs to create a romantic atmosphere with candles, lush flowers, and greenery. “The space is pretty large and there is a lot of stone, so we definitely wanted to warm it up a little,” she says. “I knew I wanted a romantic feel, and the hundreds of candles were the perfect answer.” On July 5, 2014, they said yes under a beautiful arch of greenery.

When asked about her favorite part of the their wedding day, Amy referenced the ceremony. Their pastor John asked them a series of questions about each other and they sent him the answers, but did not tell the other what they said. At the ceremony, he read the answers to the couple. Amy said that all of the wedding guests remarked on how special that moment was. “It was so special to us that we actually asked John to send us the notes after the wedding so that we could keep them. Such a sweet way to look back on our day; we will cherish those forever.”
