Although they both attended the University of Texas, Brittney and Jeffrey found romance abroad. The two met on a community service trip in Budapest, and discovered a spark while sneaking onto rooftops in Israel. It wasn’t until they both moved back to Dallas three years later that they began to officially date.
Two and a half years later, Jeffrey’s proposal took Brittney by surprise. Following a class at the Pure Barre studio where she taught, Brittney lingered in the lobby to chat with her family. Jeffrey quietly snuck into the studio and set up a table covered in roses and holding a scrapbook commemorating their relationship. A friend beckoned Brittney to return to the studio, and the sight that awaited her took her aback. A suited up Jeffrey knelt down on one knee and asked her to marry him. The two then celebrated with friends and family at the Armoury D.E. in Deep Ellum. But it was a quiet moment after the celebration at a small restaurant down the street where the weight of their futures settled in. Brittney and Jeffery cried and laughed together, cherishing the thought of a life together.
Brittney and Jeffrey both went to the University of Texas. Brittney studied corporate communications and is finishing her final year of law school at Southern Methodist University. Jeffrey studied film and advertising and works as a brand manager at The Richards Group. They will marry November 19, 2016, at The Joule Hotel.
