Amber and Landry’s journey started as somewhat of a chase. They first met at a youth camp in Colorado in the summer of 2008. They spent the summer flirting and having fun together, but once the summer ended, they went back to high school. Landry worked hard for Amber’s affection. He helped haul cheer mats, skipped football practice for late-night talks with Amber, and the two eventually fell hard. However, they went their separate ways for college, but they always stayed connected. After many years, Landry moved back to Dallas to pursue Amber as his wife to officially end the chase.
On July 2, 2016, the two wed in their hometown of McKinney at Bella Donna Chapel followed by a night of dancing at Stonebridge Country Club. Because the couple married on the patriotic weekend, they wanted to pull some sparks into their wedding. They kept the aesthetic fresh with white, ivory, light blue and touches of silver, and incorporated red, white, and blue into details like the men’s socks. “And of course the sparkler exit was the absolute perfect send off,” says Amber.
However, when Amber recalls her favorite moment of the day she looks back at a private moment with Landry after the ceremony. “No one was with us–no photographers or videographers–just a moment for him and I to be with each other and soak in that we are now husband and wife. Such an amazing moment,” she says.
