Thanks to Tisha Corcoran, founder and owner of TC Makeup, for putting together a beauty timeline. She suggests a timetable for everything from waxing appointments to manicures and pedicures.
Six to nine months prior:
Book your appointments early so you can ensure a specific time and date, especially if you’re working with a busy vendor.
Three months prior:
Do a “trial run” with your makeup artist to determine your bridal day look for portraits. This way, you can make sure the artist is a good fit and give your photographer time to see what the finished product will loo like in photos. Don’t sign a contract for the big day until after your trial run.
One month prior:
Do a test run for any facials, mani-pedis, or waxing. That will help eliminate any unforeseen problems that might pop up.
Three to five days prior:
Go back to the salon for any waxing touch-ups. This way, you’ll be silky smooth, not red and bumpy.
Wedding day:
Tisha suggests going for airbrush makeup on your special day for optimal wearability, durability, and camera-ready finish. You’ll spend less time in the bathroom touching up, and your photographer will spend less time editing afterward. It’s a win-win for everyone.
