When they joined friends at a Gary Clark Jr./Toadies concert in Fort Worth, both Jenna and Scott were more interested in having a night out than listening to the music. The two struck up a conversation during the concert and chatted until it ended. When they were walking to the car at the end of the night, Scott asked for Jenna’s number and they began dating shortly after.
When it came time to propose, Michigan was a no-brainer. Both Jenna and Scott have Michigan in common—Scott’s family lives there and Jenna’s family have vacationed at their lake houses in Michigan for many years. They were able to meet both of each other’s families in one trip when Scott traveled to the family’s lake house with Jenna one summer. One night, they watched the sunset on Lake Michigan. The night was so fun and romantic that they did it again the next year—which was exactly when Scott proposed. In August 2015, as the couple watched the sunset on the Lake Michigan beach, Scott popped the question.
Scott attended Michigan State University and majored in information technology. He works as an IT manager at the Boston Consulting Group. Jenna attended the University of Texas at Dallas and majored in accounting and information management. She is a financial analyst at Raytheon. They will marry on September 10, 2016, at the Old Red Museum.
