Jenny and Heath’s story starts at the gym. After they met there, the couple bonded over college football and continued to date afterwards. When the holidays rolled around, Heath was insistent on meeting Jenny’s family, more or less inviting himself to meet them in Idaho for New Year’s. Jenny teases Heath about that now, but Jenny’s family immediately loved Heath and he popped the question soon after.
Heath’s proposal setting was the rooftop of the historic Off the Grid venue, overlooking downtown Dallas. He had told Jenny that they would be attending an important client dinner that night, so Jenny got dressed up and even researched the company. When they reached the roof of the venue and nobody else was there, Jenny realized there was no client dinner and knew a special night was ahead. A guitarist was playing their song, “Take Your Time” by Sam Hunt. They stood at the edge of the rooftop deck, near a table set up with champagne and roses. Heath proposed just after sunset, the skyline sparkling with lights. They arrived at Dish on Cedar Springs for dinner, where a private room filled with family and close friends was waiting. Heath had even planned for Jenny’s parents to fly in from Idaho, completing the perfect night.
Jenny attended the University of Idaho and studied journalism and school and community health education. She is a news anchor and reporter at Fox 4 News. Heath attended Tyler Junior College and works as a territory sales manager at Colonial Life covering North Texas and Louisiana. They will marry at the Piazza in the Village in Colleyville on Saturday, June 18, 2016.
