After meeting on match.com, Ashley and Jordan knew early on that they wanted to date. They both happened to attend the University of Texas at the same time and live in the same dorm, but they never met. After a first date brunch at Bolsa and good conversation, the pair started dating and were together ever since.
Ashley and Jordan married on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. To stick with the Sunday theme, they opted for an al fresco brunch reception complete with mimosas and the Garrett family’s traditional chocolate gravy and biscuits. The couple even provided Sunday crossword puzzles on each place setting to carry out the theme.
Ashley, the first born of three girls and the first to get married, knew it would be an emotional day for her father. She recalls the moment before they walked down the aisle as a time she will never forget. As he looked at his daughter he tried to say a few words but started to tear up. Ashley looked back at him and whispered back, “I know Daddy, I love you.”
