Stefan Brumley and Amanda Langford met while attending college at Texas Tech University. They were introduced by mutual friends and started out getting to know one another and taking it slow. After a few weeks, he worked up the courage to ask her out on a date. He knew she loved Tex-Mex food, so he arranged to take her to a local restaurant sure to impress. He was wrong. The food was not good, but luckily the date was. They laughed and had an “amazing night” despite the less than stellar dishes.
Stefan planned a perfect proposal for Amanda. She had recently graduated with her master’s degree and they planned a night to celebrate. Stefan took her to the Reata in Fort Worth and then after to get cupcakes. As the two walked through Sundance Square, Stefan stopped to give Amanda a graduation present. When she opened it she found a necklace engraved with the day’s date. She was a bit confused and as she asked him the importance of the date, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Both of their families were hiding and able to witness the proposal. “It was so cute when a crowd of strangers cheered after I said yes,” she says.
Stefan and Amanda attended Texas Tech University. Stefan graduated with a degree in history and is a football couch and teacher. Amanda graduated with a degree in biology and Spanish and is a first year medical student at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. They will marry July 11, 2015, at The Lone Star Mansion in Burleson.
