Jake and Kristin’s love story started in high school. Well, sort of. They went to the same school, but Jake was older so they knew of each other but they weren’t friends. In the fall of 2010, Kristin moved home after graduating from Texas Tech University and they rekindled at the Barley House. After that night, they began dating and the love story continued.
After the couple got engaged, they went hunting for the perfect venue. They decided on the Trinity Audubon Center. “The TRAC is natural, but modern and edgy,” Kristin says. Kristin hired Out of the Garden to come up with arrangements that complimented the space. They started with the neutral green family and added pops of fuchsia and plum for color. On Saturday, October 25, 2014, they said “I do” in front of their friends and family. “It was so great seeing all of our family together in one place, dancing, laughing and catching up,” she says.
