Jane and James met through mutual friends. However, they really got to know one another when they both started taking photographs for Santa Claus at NorthPark Mall. (The manager is a mutual friend of theirs.) On Christmas Day in 2012, the couple had their first kiss in the snow.
Over the summer, Jane and James went to visit his family in Vancouver. They did quite a bit of hiking and sight-seeing and James “spontaneously” decided he wanted to go on a helicopter ride. Little did Jane know, the helicopter was going to land on Rainbow Glacier. When the helicopter landed, they got out on top of a beautiful glacier and James got down on one knee. According to Jane, “It was the most spectacular day of my life.”
James attended the University of Texas at Dallas and graduated with a degree in political science. He is a political finance consultant for The McIntosh Company Inc. Jane went to Texas Tech University and received a degree in nursing. She is a nurse at The Center for Executive Medicine. The couple will marry at Perkins Chapel at Southern Methodist University on March 14, 2015. A reception will follow at The Venue at 400 North Ervay.
