Nick arrived in Miami to visit Katie while she was there filming the movie Rock of Ages. Katie unintentionally ruined Nick’s romantic proposal plans by committing to a cast dinner. As they walked to the event, Nick seized a private moment on the beach by dropping to his knees and proposing.
The couple wed in the same church that Katie’s parent’s said “I Do” then hosted their reception at the Dallas Arboretum’s Rosine Hall. The Chihuly exhibit provided such a vibrant background that Katie worked with Bows & Arrows to carefully create a palate that didn’t clash with the bold works of art.
It’s easy to get distracted and let time slip by when you’re having a great time with friends and family. At one point in the night, Nick realized that he and Katie had been separated for most of the evening so he grabbed her by the hand and made sure that they spent the rest of the evening together on the dance floor.
