The Blushing Bride boutique recently moved from a 2,000-square-foot space in an old Victorian home on Main Street in Frisco to a 6,000-square-foot renovated historical spot at 7080 W. Main Street. “We were maxed out at our old space, with only two dressing rooms and one viewing room. We have more opportunities to carry new lines of designers in bridal and bridesmaids,” says owner Shana Lepsis. I had the pleasure of touring the new space, and there is more than enough room to shop for your dream gown for the big day. The front room features a sitting area for friends and family to gather while the bride peruses the racks and racks of gowns. The adjoining rooms feature bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-occasion gowns, and gifts and accessories like a ring boxes, headbands, and necklaces.

The shop carries hard-to-find lines like Justin Alexander for Sincerity Bridal, CoCo Anais, Lis Simon, Rina di Montella, as well as a custom line called At First Blush by Blushing Bride Couture. Price points hover around $1,500 with many options that are below and above. Shana specializes in finding gowns that are well made, on-trend, harder-to-find, and affordable. A master seamstress is also available at the boutique for custom work, alterations, and designs. If you love a dress but want to add or take off a feature, they can do that in-house. Stay tuned for more bridal lines picked up by the store as they expand.

One of the most useful features of the new store is the dressing and viewing areas. Brides have their own dressing rooms (they’re huge) with a private viewing room next door. Moms, sisters, ‘maids, and friends can gather and relax and watch the bride as she steps into the viewing room with a mirrored wall. The privacy and roomy spaces are perfect for the bridal gown shopping experience. Isn’t that half the fun of picking out a wedding dress?

New to the space is the addition of the BackDoor boutique. The store-within-a-store carries women’s apparel and accessories perfect for the wondering bridesmaid or mom waiting on the bride’s next look. (Smart idea, right?)
