Gone Country: How to Incoporate a Texas-Twist into Your Wedding Ensembles

With the massive success of Yellowstone, Western-inspired fashion is having a moment—and that goes for the wedding world as well. But a country-western theme walks an incredibly fine line between chic and cliché. Say it with me on the count of three: One, two, three… “Nashville bachelorette parties!”

In an effort to help you avoid any regrettable moments, I’m here to
guide you through the sartorial wild, wild west. I’ve laid out three looks, each for a different wedding event and each of which subtly and
gracefully nod to a country-western theme instead of hitting you in the face with it. In the same way I do with my clients, I’ve started with a foundation of vintage clothing, layered with contemporary styles, and finished with intentionally placed details to create nuanced looks that are timeless and of the moment.

Bachelorette Bash

Cut loose at your last fling before the ring with a throwback country-music tee, some feminine denim, and statement accessories.

Skirt the Issue

Want this look for less? Look up Tibi’s “Godet” bleached denim maxi skirt. It’s one of my favorites.

After Party

A flirty, danceable set topped with a fringed jacket, punchy boots, and a ladylike lid will make for a final “yeehaw!” to remember.

Fancy Flounce

This airy set takes on a new feel when layered under a fringed jacket like the one pictured. Handcrafted by Texas artisans, it’s an investment piece you can wear for life.

Rehearsal Dinner

Giddyup! Paired with ladylike details, a vintage corset dress with modern construction is the perfect foundation for a Western rehearsal look.

Cold Shoulder

Opt for a long sash for a look that screams vintage bridal elegance.
