Think beyond something old and something borrowed. Here are five fresh ideas to try on your big day.
Light it Up
Add a whimsical touch to your reception, whether it’s in a fancy ballroom or a more casual setting, with paper lanterns. They can instantly soften an austere chandelier or add fun to a sparse barn. Either way, the result is a dreamy backdrop to your perfect day. Going for a specific color scheme? These two weddings both went for a can’t-fail white, but you can also talk to your planner about decorating with color. Mix and match to coordinate with lighting and florals.
Men in Blue
Incorporating something blue into your wedding day is nothing new. But a navy suit on the groom and his guys? Now we’re talkin’. We are inspired by groom Cody Amos (pictured right), who chose to distinguish himself with a lighter shade than the rest of his gents.
Donut Forget Dessert
We love finding new ways to display your favorite sweets. This doughnut wall not only serves up a tasty treat, but it also creates a visual attraction. (Or, if you’re a Francophile, opt for the classic macaron tower.)
In the Navy
Navy hues don’t always mean nautical. These swaths of dark blue add drama and dimension to your tables—especially when popped against a fun chair, like these natural-toned ones.
Groom’s Best Friend
Who says your four-legged pal needs to stay at home during the festivities? We love couples who include their pets, whether illustrated on favors and napkins or taking part in the ceremony as an honorary guest.
