The Couple
Trisha and Jason describe themselves as complete opposites. On the surface, they may appear to be. Trisha comes from an Indian Hindu background. Jason comes from an Irish Catholic background. Trisha loves a good night in. Jason loves a good night out. But as we all know, opposites attract. The two met through many shared meals together in the cafeteria while both working at the Crescent Hotel in Dallas. Once Trisha and Jason ventured outside the hotel to Smashburger where they battled in a milkshake drinking contest. After Trisha’s work took her elsewhere, the two’s casual lunches became formal dinners that eventually turned into romantic weekend getaways. Trisha and Jason recount that they truly love their relationship “because who wants to be with someone who is exactly like them?” It is through their differences that they have grown: Jason teaches Trisha about his love for old-school music and Trisha teaches Jason about the world through travel.
Jason has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UT Arlington and is working toward a Master in Systems Engineering at SMU. Jason currently works at Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie. Trisha has a Bachelor’s of Science in Hospitality Management and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Texas. Trisha currently works at Hilton Corporate in Addison.
The Engagement
After three years of dating, Jason asked for Trisha’s father’s permission to marry the love of his life. After receiving a “yes” from her father, Jason’s task was to get the same answer from Trisha. While on a ski vacation in Taos, New Mexico with Trisha’s family, Jason successfully asked for Trisha’s hand in marriage. A few months after their engagement, the couple moved into their newly built home in White Rock, where they love to take their dog, Lucy, on beautiful scenic walks while counting down the days till their much-anticipated wedding day.
The Wedding
Trisha and Jason will be married at The Venue at Waterstone in Celina, Texas on April 29, 2018.
