Chandler didn’t know how grateful she would be when her brother suggested that she enroll in a histology course, but that all changed when she and Mason connected in class. They had been acquaintances through one of Chandler’s closest friends and by the end of the semester, a real friendship had blossomed. By the time winter break was in full swing, they were finally official.
Nearly three years later, Mason had carefully planned his proposal. With some help from Chandler’s family, they were able to keep her distracted all day before the big night. On their drive to meet Chandler’s parents for dinner, Mason took the scenic route around Turtle Creek and made a pit stop to walk around the park. Walking beside the creek, they came along a bench with roses, balloons, and a box of photos. As Chandler looked through the photos of their favorite memories together, Mason got down on one knee and proposed! Chandler’s parents were hiding to capture the moment and the night was complete with champagne and dinner accompanied by Chandler’s loving family.
Chandler and Mason both studied biomedical science at Texas A&M University and are currently wrapping up their final semesters of dental school. Chandler is attending Texas A&M University College of Dentistry and Mason is attending the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. They will marry at the Church of the Incarnation on Saturday, June 10, 2017, with a reception following at the Belo Mansion & Pavilion.
