But what is a sample sale? When stores are ready to make room for new inventory, they sell the samples that have been hanging on racks at the store. You won’t be able to order the gown custom, so you must purchase “as is.” And you must be ready to purchase that day. Once the gown is gone, it’s gone. The sizes typically run at an eight or ten, but don’t fret if that’s not your size. We’ve purchased a sample gown or two and the right alterations expert can make it as custom as you’d like.
