For Sarah and Jonathan, match.com proved to live up to its namesake. The pair found each other through the dating website and after weeks of texting, they decided to meet. Up until that fateful January night in 2015, Sarah thought her vision of the perfect man existed only in a dream. After their first date at The Ginger Man pub, it was clear that they were quickly falling for each other.
Almost a year later, The Ginger Man became more than just a bar to the couple. Jonathan asked Sarah to meet him for an important business dinner with investors in Plano. Under the guise that the investors were running late, Sarah made her way to The Ginger Man to meet up with Jonathan for a pre-dinner drink. It wasn’t until she made it to the front of the bar that she realized what was going on. Jonathan stood at the helm, dressed in a suit and surrounded by rose petals on the floor. He got on one knee, recited a piece of scripture, and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Stunned, Sarah began to say “yes” over and over through joyful tears. As friends and family joined them to celebrate, the couple took a moment to fully appreciate the idea of a beautiful life together.
Sarah attended UNT and TWU, where she received her masters in mental health counseling. She works as a counselor at an addiction treatment clinic. Jonathan went to UNT where he studied applied technology. He owns a logistics technology software company. They will marry on January 21, 2017, in Mexico at the Azul Sensatori Hotel.
